I am a highly qualified Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society which is the highest award available from our professional body. My priority is to help our clients achieve their financial goals throughout the various stages of life.

I have particular expertise in financial planning for families, small businesses, people approaching retirement and those with inheritance tax concerns. Within these areas I can support with recommendations for pensions, investments and life insurance, as well as more bespoke planning solutions.

I have over 20 years’ experience across three leading UK insurers and one specialist pensions provider, giving me the knowledge and skills I need to support our clients with all their financial planning needs. In my younger years I gained a BSc Mathematics & Statistics from Warwick University.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and have three young children who keep me very busy! I enjoy watching most sports and am still active on the football pitch and tennis court. Additionally I am an active member of St Nicholas Church in Tooting where I sit on the church council, and am also a governor at our local primary school.

I come from a professional IT background in Investment Banking, where I worked for Cazenove and J.P. Morgan. I had 18 years’ experience in designing and developing financial systems for the Corporate Finance side of the Investment Bank, with clients from the FTSE 100 & 250 and JSE (South Africa). Our systems helped corporate clients and large investors make informed decisions on where to invest in markets and sectors.

Outside of work, I have a busy family life with three active children involved in drama, ballet and football. One is also a Rubik’s cube wizard! I enjoy going to theatre with my wife Nicola and, when I get the chance, I love to see live music. I like watching sport with friends and I am a big football and American Football fan. I attend St. Nicholas Church in Tooting, where I am active on the welcoming team and cook a few times a year for our church lunches and our over 60s group.

Having been a high-level basketball player, earning the right to play for the National Team, semi-professional in Iceland, and on scholarships at universities in the USA, I decided to transition into financial advice.  Initially this came from my curiosity, which led me to spend countless hours researching money and how it can best be used to achieve financial freedom.

After returning to the UK, I wanted to find a company that would allow me to fulfil my ambition of helping people achieve their financial goals, whatever that may look like to them. Better Future have proved a great fit for my first steps into financial planning.

Outside of working hours, I spend my leisure time working out, attending my local church in Redhill, and researching the capabilities of blockchain technology, contemplating the role it could play in future developments across multiple industries.
